I'm almost done laying a 1/4" laiment for a 3/4 hardwood floor. I left gaps between plywood for expansion. Shoul I fill them in with something?

What is your subfloor made up of? Are you installing 3/4" plank flooring"?

Realwood Floors: My sub-floor now consists of layer of 3/4 plywood, 1/2 of particle board, and a layer of 1/4 plywood.

The 3/4" plywood is all you need for a subfloor under a woodfloor. I would have just removed the particle board and installed directly to the 3/4". Nails into particle board do not hold as well as into plywood. To me it is added weight to the structure without that much benefit.
