I removed carpet from a bedroom and there is thin wood plank floors underneath. The floor is splattered in paint. I don't want to hassle with having it refinished. Can I just paint over it or should I lay down laminate? The room will become a nursery. I have less than 7 weeks to accomplish this project.

the fast easy fix would be to go with laminate or carpet.I think it can be done in under 7 weeks with no problems:)

It will be easier for me to lay laminate? I thought with measuring and cutting that there would be room for mistakes. But you say its easy huh. I need a little more explanation, please.
