I am designing a pool surround deck for a 38x18' oval above ground pool. I have seen various designs depicted. Is there a deciding difference between corner post design versus a beam design with the structure on top of beams? Only 4 feet off the ground and max. of 6 feet wide around the pool. A lot of 4x4's in the ground 42" . Not many fewer posts with the beam design. Anyone have an opinion??
