I have a 18' X 12' deck over a patio. I want to "waterproof" the patio from rain coming through the deck.

I used the corrugated plastic sheeting that is used for roofing on sheds and such and it actually didn't look bad! Just nailed it to the support beams underneath the deck. Just make sure there is a slope so that water and ice can run-off.
