At a previous home we had a deck built that was made up of 4x4 foot deck squares. They were laid in a parquet pattern, at ground level, supported by concrete block sunk into the ground. It was great, and we want to recreate it here, but can't find a local company that does it. Has anyone built or thought about something like this? Please share your specs and suggestions.
