i have a direct tv system with a dual lnb dish and a 4 way mult-switch serving 4 receivers.
my question is i want to add a 5th receiver , i know i can change my 4 way multi-switch out to an 8 way, but is there any way to take two, 4 way multi-switches and make them serve the same purpose as and 8 way? which is to have the capability of different programing on all 5 receivers.

Yes. Simply connect the inputs on the second multiswitch to
two outputs of the first.
