My projection tv recently develop a curve in the picture. It is not greatly noticible while watching normal tv, but when there are texts, you can see that the picture and the texts are curve just like the movie screen. The center still has good resolution but the two sides are blurry. I've searched around on the net and this seems like a convergene board problem with bad capacitors, but since I'm not a tv expert I don't really know what is the actual problem. If anyone has knowledge of this problem or knows whether it is an easy or hard fix, your comment is greatly appreciated. Also if anyone can point me to where I can purchase a service manual for the VS-50VF2 model it will be great.

Thanks

Try this web site for schematic.

The problem with curve picture can also be from the HV circuit. If you notice that the picture is no longer full screen, then it's most likely the HV.

Be extra careful with HV. The bigger the TV the higher the HV. e.g. in my 35" Mitsubishi TV, the HV is 35KV.
