I'm planning on drywalling one side of my house which is currently plaster directly over brick. However, I have ducts which are flush with the plaster walls.
What is the easiest and cheapest way to extend these ducts to make them flush with the new walls?

Do you mean in the wall and up?? Can you use the reg. 3 1/4" x 10" or what?? There is a basboard register could you use it? could you just add studs to the wall and then drywall? Need more info here;) ED

I'm sorry that my last post wasn't very clear. My plan is to attach firring strips to the wall then hang drywall.
I'm unfamiliar with ductwork and I thought that I would have to extend the ducts further into the room between the existing ducts and the new register. Do I need to do this and if so how?
The current register is about 1' off the floor so I'm not sure if I can use baseboard registers or not.

Ok do you have what we call a wall reg like a 10"x6" or 12"x6" if so you can just get a short piece of duct the size and add it on to them??? If Im right in what you have. Also yes you have to do this as it is a heat out let and it has to be in metal duct to the reg.;) ED

You are correct, I have a wall register about 10x6.
