the coils on my unit are frosting over bad .the unit is a heat pump it still works but ice forms bad on coils. been told defrost timer or relay . please help. thanks: :confused:

Most likely it's a malfunctioning defrost board or coil temperature sensor. Most boards have some test pins that are used to fast forward the time and attempt to initiate a defrost. There may be instructions inside the pudoor unit on the inside of the cover that shows how to do it.
