Solid Hardwood, Engineered and Laminate Flooring - which laminate brand is reccommened???

Hi,

I've been reviewing some past posts on the various brands of laminate wood floorings (pergo, wilsonart, armstrong, etc.) It seems that there may be some more preference to wilsonart due to quality and some deference from pergo due to service.

Are there any definitive opinions on which brands is best? Maybe some other than what I've mentioned. Or maybe some reference material to help me decide. I have only seen Pergo and Armstrong at my local Lowes and HD.

I'm so confused. I though I'd install a laminate wood floor in my kitchen over a regular wood floor due to the implications of water 'accidents' or spilling, but I'm not sure if that is the correct direction to go in anymore.
