My new living room walls and cathedral ceiling are white. I have dark green carpet. I want to paint the walls a dark, warm color, but am not sure what to do with the ceilings. Paint them the same color? Leave them white? I'm afraiid the walls and ceiling will contrast too much.
The room is 15x24.

Hello,
A nice warm taupe color sounds nice. The ceiling would be nice 2 shades lighter with crown moulding added. The reason I usually like lighter ceilings is due to the plane change of walls to ceilings. Light is reflected differently and the lighter ceiling can make just the right subtle change. Darker ceilings can definitely be attractive but, my preference is for lighter. A nice honey-beige is also a great warm color to work with; endless possibilities. I wish I could see your pictures. Best of Luck.
