Hi all
I've had this problem for a while.
A Panasonic HiFi mini system model SA-AK5
I keep getting error F61 when using the stereo. I don't have the user manual for the hifi so I don't know what the error means. I would like to get hold of the service manual but I don't know where I can get it. So, any help is appreciated - how go around fixing it and/or where to get the service manual

Hello,
I have a Panasonic SA-AK28 stereo system which has exactly the same fault. I searched on the net and I discovered that the problem has to do with a fault in the power amp. Apparently a circuit gives the system lower voltage than it needs. If you go to www.panasonic.co.uk and then support-downloads you will find the manual for the SA-AK25 I think. This is very detailed and I guess it shares many parts with mine and your system.

I can't find the documentation for the saak25 or saak5. I've sent them an email about it and I'm waiting to see what they'll say. Otherwise, i'm in kenya and the panasonic service center i know of is quite expensive and i'll rather fix the problem myself. What exactly did you do with your system, chris? Did you replace the power amp (i.e assuming it was defective) or got a different power amp.

Hi again,
No wonder you couldn't find the manual since the one I saw was for the SAAK18 not the 25. Apologies for that. This time I copied the url of the manual:

As for my system I haven't had the time yet to find out how much a repair will cost or whether I can order a replacement part for it. Let me know if you had any luck with yours.
