We are in the process of installing laminate wood on our 2nd story. I also would like to cover the stairs in the laminate. Has anyone else done this and if so, what are your thoughts on it. Thanks!

I saw it done on a Bob Vila "Home Again" episode. The one thing that they said was to not float the floor, bu to use construction adhesive to glue the floor down.

Using adhesive on the stair treads is correct. The risers are "trapped" in place by the stair nose and the tread on the next lower step. Several of the innovative laminate producers now offer laminate treads with the stairnose attached that are wide enough to cover the entire tread.

Take your time. Go slow, and of all things, keep a sharp blade on the table saw!
