Hello and good day to you all,
While inspecting the wiring in my new, old house, 1910, I was thinking of adding some additional outlets. It currently has old copper wire that is rubber coated wire, in a cloth conduit. The conduit appears new, i have experience with this type of wiring in automotive and motorcycle restorations. It is not crumbling or dryed out. My question is, since i am adding new outlets would it be worth my while to go ahead and pull new wiring all around? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hello barron,
what i would do in your situation is leave the old wireing as is since it is in good condition, and pull a totaly new circuit for the added outlets.unless what u r refering to is knob and tube, then i would pull totaly new wire. knob and tube wireing is where the hot and nutural r totaly seperat wires run threw porselen knobs and tubes.

Thanks Sparky,
Its not knob and tube. So, i am going with your suggestion. I wanted to go ahead and do this before i put in the new windows, and then blew in insulation. Thanks again.
