I am finishing my basement and installed R-19 FG between floor joists with the paper facing the basement floor. The kraft paper makes a very good friction fit and no need to staple. Both the basement and 1st floor are quieter already. I will be installing a suspended ceiling in the basement which will conceal the insulation.
Should I be concerned about moisture being trapped anywhere? If so should I make some slices in the kraft paper to allow the FG to breath?

I will be the first to admit that I am not the expert on building science, and I do new home construction not remodeling anymore, but....
I would have installed the same as you did and no I would not cut the kraft paper. Unless your basement is particularly damp and prone to water issues you should be fine as you installed. I would suggest that over time your insulation will most likely fall out if you installed without any staples.
