As you know, hubby and I wired the house and the telephone wiring was my job. Well, hubby stripped the insulation off the phone wire and cut one of the blue ones so short that I can't make a connection. So, consequently 4 of my phones don't work. I am using 4 line wire, can I just substitute a different color for the other connection to the next phone jack? (ie, blue/white for power in and brown/white for power out to the next phone) I did this and frankly the phones still aren't working, is there something I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Any further questions and you can reach me at sharlee1@uswest.net
