My mother just bought a home with a nutone intercom system installed, and I don't know how old the system is. The previous owner has taken the the master unit to the system, thus rendering the system dysfunctional. My mother does not want to have any contact with the people who stole the master unit. How can I get another master unit for her system?

I know Nutone systems are still made, I drive by the local plant occasionally. They do have a web site at WWW.NUTONE.COM (http://WWW.NUTONE.COM) and they list intercoms and master units and they have a listing of dealers. You could probably even give them the model number via email and request info a on replacement.

There are many dealers on E-bay with good return policies. I just replaced my main system with this years unit. It now has a DVD player upgrade and you can also plug in an Ipod...good luck.
