I am putting up a new wall and there is a plug outlet already on the existing wall that I'm tearing down, but once the new wall is built I want to have a plug outlet on both sides of the wall. How would I hook the new plug outlet wires to the old plug outlet so both sides of the wall plug outlets work? Thanks.

hello jim,
best way to go abought this is to install your new box on otherside of wall in same stud space but on other stud, install a piece of romex betweeen the boxes connect the black wires to the gold scres and white wires to the silver and bare wires together and to the green screw.
