What is the proper way to abandon existing electrical work while remodeling? Can dead, disconnected wires simply be cut off and left in place? Since they're stapled to the framing within the wall, they're impossible to pull out without tearing half the house apart. Thanks for any help.

hello gnmix,
you simply remove as much of the old wire as possabel, with out tareing out the walls/celling. simply put u remove any exposed wire, in boxes, panels, attics, basements, ect.
