My chest freezer is in the garage. Any problems plugging it in via extension cord to the outlet that my washing machine is plugged into?

hello mary,
i cant say for certion that u will have no problems doing this. if u use a heavy cord #14 at the least and it is short in length not over 25 feet you may not have any problems, especely if its just the washer on this circuit.

Sparky -

Isn't it interesting that we would use a #14 extension cord, but if we were to rewire the circuit or add another box, we would use #12 AWG?

Just a thought!
