My neighbor has a mercury vapor outdoor
light. She's 80+ years old and wants me to
install a switch for her. Do I need any type of special switch to turn a mercury vapor light on and off? Or is a standard 20 amp light switch adequate?

hello bever,
if the light is a 120 volt which im asuming it is since this is in a home (check 2 be sure)a standard 20 amp single pole switch will work just fine; if this is a 240 volt then u will need a double pole single throw switch. hope this answers your ?
