You can type into your favorite search engine 'soundproofing + echo' for many options to deal with this topic. You can survive without ahering to poper studio guideslines.

fill the room w/ things. whatever you like. sound bounces like a ball . put a bunch of rocks in the middle of a basketball court and ill bet the ball dont bounce straight
