I HAVE NO POWER TO MY PROJECTION TV. WHEN THE POWER BUTTON IS PUSHED, A CLICK IS HEARD FROM THE CHASIS AND THE GREEN POWER LIGHT IN THAT BUTTON WILL FLASH AS MANY TIMES AS THE BUTTON IS PUSHED. I USED TO HELP REPAIR TV'S ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO. I AM FAMILIAR WITH SOLDERING AND BOARD COMPONENT REPAIR. CAN YOU PLEASE DIRECT ME TO THE PROBLEM?
I AM A SKILLED APPLIANCE TECH AND WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP SOMONE OUT OF AN APPLIANCE JAM.

Lets start out simple first. Disconnect the flyback lead from the H.V. splitter block. Lay it off to the side away from the chassis. Now see if the set will turn on. If it does the block is bad.

i disconnected the hv lead from the flyback transformer and the set did indeed come on. thank you very much for the advice. i will proceed to the local tv shop in the morning to purchase a new hv splitter box.::)
