i am repairing my shower, i have removed all the tile and have replaced the sheet rock with cementboard, now i am trying to clean off the old tile to use it again. VERY time consuming, any hints or tricks on how to clean the old tile quickly????

Most people quickly give up on trying to reuse old tiles. While a grinder might be used, it is still a lot of work. And, there is always the chance that you may break or damage a tile.

Depends on whether the adhesive is thinset or mastic. If it's thinset then grinding or sanding is the way to go, if it is mastic then the tile can probably be soaked in water for a few days and scraped off with a wallpaper (razorblade) scraper.
I personally think it is a waste of time also but hey....to each his own.:)
