I have a natural gas furnace and the exhaust pipe leading from the furnace has rusted out . Right where it goes into the chimey.
Also there is white chalkey residue around this area. Besides replacing that pipe, is there anything else I should do about that
white residue?
One other thing..... the opening in the chimney appears to be 6"
and the exhaust pipe is 3". Is this something in can buy at Home
Depot stock off of the shelf?
Thanks Ben

You should be able to get the 6 X 3 reducer at HD. The residue is normal.
