Hey all -
I'm a brand spankin' new user, so I look forward to getting to know you all!
Here's my sitch-
My husband and I own a log home, we're combining the space of 2 closets, a hallway, and a teensy utility room into one larger-sized utility room/pantry. The hallway will be closed off at the end and the entrance will be from the kitchen - we want a door to enter through, so we can hide the mess/block the noise, etc- but want to avoid 'closing off the space' too much, so I was thinking of something french-doorsy (i.e., wood w/ glass panes), but don't have the width for a full french door. I've seen one door description that is probably something like I'm looking for, but they don't appear to have a picture posted on their site. It's a bi-fold french door (see at http://www.interiordoors.com/38-68-french_bi.htm ) ... I'm needing something between 30-40" wide. Any ideas, hints, or otherwise?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Cassie

First off, jazzycass, welcome to DoItYourself.com.

A wood door 30" to 40" wide, full view, with grids. No problem, until you get to 37" wide. You can get ONE single door, as described, from 24" to 36" wide very easily. If you want TWO doors, you are going to run into money -- not problems, just MORE MONEY! It's your house, your budget, and your choice.

Check with a local lumber yard. Some have their own door shops and can build you anything that you want. If you are anywhere near the CA border, e-mail me directly. There is a yard in Yreka that you might want to talk to.
