i am wanting to put in a window over my stove (it rather than my sink is on the outside wall). do i need to take out the drywall and put in frame for the window or can i just dut the hole and slide the window in? the space is only about 24" x 24"

Well, the window opening will need to be framed on all four sides, so unless you're lucky enough for the studs to be in exactly the right location you'll have to do some drywall work.
