What's the best way to remove dried paint droplets from wood door trim without removing/lightening the wood stain?

About the only advice i can think of is try scrapeing with a puddy knife if its latex and fresh it might come off pretty easy and clean.Careful and dont gouge or sratch the wood. Or if not you might try goof off trying to aply only to the paint with like a cue tip and wipeing away with clean cloth be care it will dull finish or lighten stain but would be less noticable than paint most likely.
