I desparetly need to find a way to sound proof my walls! I share a wall with my sister and I cannot stand to hear her stereo's bass at all hours of the day:mad: . I heard that foam was a good way to go to keep out the noise and I was wondering if this is true. Any other suggestions would be greatly appretiated...

Kelly, There are numerous ways to sound proof rooms. The methods vary depending on the type of noise, whether air borne or mechanically transmitted through walls and or floors. The costs of these also vary but none are cheap. In your case may I suggest a $2.00 pair of ear plugs for you and a set of $20.00 headphones for your sister.
