I am in dire need of assistance. My home was built in the early 80s and the blown on popcorn type texture was widely used at that time. My problem is how to get it off the ceilings. I hate it, it is messy and impossible to work with. Can anyone help with ideas on how to get this stuff off?

Do a search above on "popcorn ceilings" for the how-to.
It's messy, but relatively easy.
