I have a 1986 Honda Fourtrax A.T.V.
The electric starter quit working all of a sudden. I charged the battery. It will make a click when i try to start it. Any suggestions on what may have happened?

Sounds like the starter may be frozen. Check to see that 12volts is @ the starter motor itself when you are cranking. This will verify the solenoid is ok. If 12volts is there take the starter out and disassemble it, and see what is going on. A new starter is probably $285 bucks or so.

Check out the condition of the battery, it may seem to take a charge, but actually have a cell go open as load is applied. Will it run the lights for and extended perion of time?? Not just a few seconds, but for a while. Take the battery to an automotive parts place, they will usuall check it out for free. The starter itself is the next item to check, but make sure that your batery is up to snuf first.
