Can you repair a wood hollow door with a hole about 6" in diameter all the way through?

You could repair it by stuffing papers and fill strips inside and fill it with Bondo and then sand it smooth. It would be a lot less effort to buy a new door slab and install it. They are not that expensive and a lot less trouble than repairing the one you have.

Another way to "repair" it would be to reskin the door, but that will change the thickness, which means you'll have to relocate the hinges and the door stops in the jamb. Would be a lot simpler to simply replace the door.
