I am looking for a part that seems to be unavailable on every web site I found. I can't figure out what the big deal is, but I need it to keep the mess at bay (read: prevent a messy cook from destroying my cooktop). It is a simple gasket for Magic Chef cooktop model #8261RB, part#74002745. It probably costs less than 10 cents, but I can't find it anywhere. I am hoping that someone can tell me where I can get it, or if there is anything that is similar to it that I can use. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Another excellent source for orginal replacement parts is your local retail appliance parts store. Appliance parts dealers test parts and carry replacement parts for all appliances. Parts dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.

Actually, you don't carry it either, my local dealers don't carry it. But guess what: Sears, what else. They do carry it at an ourageous price of $6 a piece. But since I need it, I got it. Thanks for your help.
