Quick question -- I have 3 walls that had nasty '70s wood paneling installed. I removed the paneling and found that the previous owners used construction adhesive to secure them as well as a ton of nails.

What is the best way to remove the adhesive and then prep the walls for prime / paint? Should I just scrape it off? I don't want the adhesive to affect the subsequent paint job.

We faced the same problem. We found that scraping and sanding took the glue off.
