Has anyone had any experience with a technique that involves spraying paint onto ceramic walls and bathtub? It is supposed to dry to a high gloss shine, and contains aliphatic urethane as a bonding agent. It seems like a good option for my bathroom because of price, but I'm concerned about it holding up after awhile, especially with cleaning! The company offers a 3 year warranty. Any insight?? Thank you!

moonshade,
I have had some clients do this because of "PRICE', now 2 years later 2 are remodeling the bathroom the right way!
The old saying, (my modifcation) "pay me now and pay SOMEONE ELSE later" holds true. Any application that is done as a cosmetic band aid will cost you more in the end.
In my clients case, the bathtub started to peel at the drain, eventually it seperated to the point that it looked terrible. Before they had a dingy looking unit and a couple of chips but after 25 years you have to accept that. Here they paid good money for a short term warranty and had to redo the whole thing.
The other on the cermaic tile application mentioned that the adhesion that was suppose to be good failed and eventually cleaners for soap scum and the like seemed to effect the color.
In my opinion, do it right or pay the fee now and 2 or 3 years later pay it again and again and again! Hopefully others can give there opinion.
Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply!! I was very worried about how the paint would hold up under cleaning, and constant water exposure. If it sounds too good to be true.........
I looked at your website and you do beautiful work!! I'll be saving my money and live with the green ceramic for awhile longer... SIGH. Thank you again!! Much appreciated!

moonshade,
Thanks for the compliment on my web site. I hope you don't mind what you have for now. You'll be glad you waited to do it right!
Good Luck!
