Hi
I have a Magic Chef gas stove (about 10 years old) with a self cleaning oven. When I put the oven on for cleaning, it will not light. Baking and broiling are fine. Sorry I can't find the model number. Thanks in advance

Hello knuttytoo. Welcome to my Gas Appliances forum and our Do-It-Yourself Web Site.
Chances are the door contact locking device isn't functioning. The tiny micro switch inside the locking device must be closed for the cleaning cycle to begin.
If this device is working correctly, the cleaning cycle selector may not be functioning correctly. If that is functioning correctly, the main computer board may not be.
Since there are several possibilities and several models of ovens and or ovens in ranges or stoves, each operates differently. However, the common parts and selections must be checked to determine if they are operating and doing so correctly.
Suggestions:
Read the manufacturers instructional or owners manual & online web sites for product information, problem possibilities, etc.
Retail appliance parts dealers can also help determine what the possible problem may be. Bring the make, model and serial numbers. Appliance parts dealers are an excellent source for original replacement parts.
Dealers can perform tests and carry replacement parts for all appliances. Parts dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.
To expedite time, read the prior topics, within this forum, on this subject of ovens, oven problems, etc and the replies offered.
