When I trun on the heat it will not shut off, if it does then it comes back on in a few minutes. I've changed the thermostat, but that did nothing. Help.

A Hydronic Hot Water Heating System?? Radiators? Baseboards?
Forced Hot Air Heating System? With/Without Air Conditioning?
Boiler Hot Water Heating System? Baseborad or Radiators?
Natural gas or propane fuel?
Electric Heat Pump Heating and Air Conditioning System?
In depth and detailed information regarding the problem, helps to explain the situation your dealing with in a manner that allows myself and or several other professionals in this forum to offer the best possible helpful suggestions and professional advice.
Also provide the units brand name, year, model, serial numbers, if available. The type of ignition system and the location of the heating unit, recent repairs, etc. All detailed information you can provide please do so.
All additional detailed information you can provide may help to expose a clue or clues regarding the heaters current problem and help us to determine the exact repair to correct and or resolve the problem.
