I would appreciate some experience in comparing double hung windows of the above mentioned type. I have narrowed it down to 2 brands and models. Being inexperienced in window work I would really like some hands on responses. They are the Viking (division of Pella in Portland Or.) #9450 block frame. And the CertainTeed #910 block frame?? Thanky you for any help RL36

Compare the festation ratings. they are on the sticker on every window mfgr'd. Also compare the warranties, and the reputation of the of the installer who would be the one responsible for any warranty repairs that might have to be made. Another window you may want to consider would be an EPI -- also made in Portland, OR.
