I am considering a Pergo Paradigm floor in my new home. Anyone with experience with this click floor with a glue strip? Also I've heard some people don't like their laminate floors because they are too slippery. Any opinions?

Some consumers complain of a hollow sound while walking on laminate flooring, others find laminate flooring to be slippery and slick and some consumers have been oversold on the performance. The hollow noise is due to the fact that the installation is a floating floor, thus sound can travel more freely. This can be reduced or eliminated by using the sound absorbing foam underlayment which is available by most manufacturers of laminate flooring.

Laminate flooring is a very durable alternative to other flooring options but in is not indestructible and can scratch and dent if abused.
