I have a ceiling between a hallway, dining room, and living room which continualy cracks. I have spackled the cracks repeaditly and painted and they keep coming back. It is not on the main seem of a board so there is no tape involved , it is a sheet rock ceiling not plaster. What should i do?

Have you taped the joint, too; or just spackled it?

Along with the tape, did you rout the crack out to a 1/8 to 1/4" ?
