I have a furnace model# GMP050-3, which I think is Goodman. The fan starts and the electric heating element comes but that's about it. It runs through this cycle 2 times and then gives up. I do not hear any clicking as described in other posts. We just had our gas line repaired and the plumber turned the appliances off to test the pressure. We turned everything back on and bled the line to let out any excess air but the furnace refuses to light now.

Hello: newhomeowners

It would be far more effective and efficient to attempt to locate the problem from within the recent questions on this type of a problem using the search feature than attempt to provide a detailed and complete overview in a forum such as this.

There are simply too many types and models to cover. Space to cover all possibilities within the forum and for this topic is limited. It would much more effective if you would read as many of the current, recent and archived questions and posted replies offered.

These prior postings and any or all the replies offered within them contain almost all the required information needed pertaining to the many potential and or possible problems with the heating unit like your describing.

Additional Suggestions:
Read the manufacturers online web site for product information, problem possibilities, causes and solving methods, part locations, disassembly, reassembly methods, repair procedures and instructions, pictorials and schematics, which may be available online.

If you have a specific problem with a specific heating unit, provide as much information relevent to the problem or condition as possible.

Use the REPLY button to add any and all additional information, etc. By doing so, the additional information you add will remain within this posting.

Using the above method also moves the topic back up to the top of the list automatically.
