Ok I am full of HVAC questions today*L* I am staying at my parents til my house is done. Well I lit the pilot on the furnace the other day. Everything works fine but after the blower cycles off. Then about a minute later it kicks back on for like 5 seconds and then turns off again. I thought it might be the thermostat. So I installed a new digital one. Well with the new one. It still does the same thing! any Ideas what is causing this? And is this even a problem? Thanks yet again for sharing your wisdom!

Do you mean the blower comes back on or the burner?

I will find out the model number later tonight..but the blower comes on. for like 5 seconds and trips back off. I live in houston. The temp out has been low 40's. I set the T stat to 75. thanks

There is likely a fan control in the furnace.
If the air feels quite cold after the burner goes off and just before the fan shuts off, the fan/limit control may need adjusting.

This would involve working inside the furnace.
You would have to be comfortable about working around electricity and would have to be able to identify which is the fan/ limit control.
If not, this would not be expensive to have professionally repaired.

either out of calibration or going bad. as cheap as this part is, and the fact it contains a safety (cuts off burners if overheats), i would replace it.
