Any suggestions on what to check when the thermostat won't click the furnace on???

Is it a 2 zone, 1st or second floor.If 2 zone does your other unit work?

does the furnace have power to it? jump red and white at the tstat, if the heat comes on, replace the stat. does the furnace have a flashing light on the circuit board? how about a fuse? may be several things, is the pilot lit if it has one? need much more info
