Despite letting our floors dry for double the recommended time, we still ended up with some smudges and a few scratches on our newly finished hardwood floors. We have 3 coats of polyurethane on them now...any suggestions for getting these annoyances out without having to recoat the entire floor?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Perhaps buffing will minimize the smudges and light scratches in the floor finish.

There is a product called Scuff Remover for Poly coated floors that works good. I can't recall who makes it, but you can probably find it at a local paint store. Works good on scratches, scuffs, etc.
