I have a duplex with a front concrete porch. Brick front, with limestone outlining the two door entrance. Flat front building. I am looking to add a small roof over the entry way to give the building some dimension as well as a dry entry at the door.
Is there is a good website that has both some build and design plan ideas?
I would like a design that comes out approx 1.5' - 2' from the house, using only side supports and bolt to wall (ie no posts to support). there are a number in the neighborhood like this. Roof design to be flat, running from house wall forward, with angled side. Considering a tin roof. Any help of where i can find some good resources would be appreciated. Thanks

kwedberg,
Unfortunately, when it comes to porch roofs, design and plans is done entirely on a custom level. Each one is different based upon the existing architectual properties of the home and/or building.
If you have seen some that you liked on your street use them as your base and design them from there.
I have attached some links for possible ideas;
http://www.apcmouldings.co.uk/frameset.html
http://www.hammerzone.com/archives/_vti_bin/shtml.exe/search.htm
If you are considering a tin roof, I would think that you will hire this done, make some calls and get some addresses to look at them.
Hope this helps!
