Hi. I recently moved into a new home. The movers were good, but they made a small blunder and punched a small hole about 1-1.5 inches across in the hollow core door to my bathroom. i know hollow core doors are relatively cheap and i could replace it, but it's a hassle, plus i don't know how easily i could match the stain color on the door to the rest of the doors in the house. does anyone out there have advice on how to repair such a hole? can it be patched, so that i only have to restain a small spot on the door and there's no ugly little hole in the door?
you can email me directly. thanks.

Sounds to me like the moving company should be responsible for their damage. They are insured for this, or should be. I would call them. A hollow core door can be patched, but if it is stained, the repair will probably stand out more than the hole. If it is painted, it can be more easily hidden. However, call the moving company first. Good Luck!
