You want the speakers behind the drywall?
Or do you just want the run the wires behind the drywall?
Are these 'built-in' speakers?

All I want to do is be able to run the wires behind the drywall and have the speakers mounted. Part of the problem is that I need to run the wires behind 3 walls to achieve that "surround sound" where there are three speakers in the front wall and two speakers on the back walls or perhaps celings...
please help.
much appreciated.

Gotcha.
Do you have access to the walls from above or below?
If you do not, you are in for alot of work.
Are any of the wall exterior? If so, insulation will be a problem.

Luisc: Like Klute said, the easist way is coming down from the wall (stereo side) into the basement and then up the walls where the speakers are. You just need some snakes, long drill bits, and patience. If you can not access the floor or ceiling, then you have to run through all the studs (center drill studs if the walls are open) and then insulate (if exterior). Hope it is option 1. If the easier option is available, do it. Even if you decide not to cut holes in the walls for speakers they are there if you want them. I LOVE mine! Inexpensive speakers, with good wire, nice wall outlets (for the stereo), and good mounting/insulation = excellent sound. (And the look is very clean.) Peace: e3 - spamman
