<I've posted this on Decorate & Design as well - not sure how much traffic they get over there>
I'm looking for permanent fasteners that I can install on my front porch and second floor to hang holiday lights.
Are there any tricks-of-the-trade for this - or am I pulling out the stapler?
Thanks

Many light sets come with hangers. You might want to stop by your local home center to explore options. The porch and posts on the rental in which I live is lined with a row of nails. Staples or fasteners that can damage the wiring should not be used. In some areas there are services that hang Christmas lights. You might want to check with them to see what they use and/or if you can purchase hangers from them.

I just hung mine on some sheetrock screws, the lights are the 3 conductor type and I just slipped the the cord over the screws :)

are the lights to be up permanently or just the fasteners? if you want year round lights up id use plastic masonry type anchors ( looks like a U with a nail in it)
Hope this helps-Josh
