Our house was built in 1960 and has ceil heat....which we no longer use. The ceiling in one room is sagging. As best I can tell, there are two layers of sheetrock....the top layer has the ceiling heat wiring stapled to the bottom and then another layer of sheetrock covers the wires. The bottom layer of sheetrock in one section of the ceiling is sagging and has separated from the upper layer. What is the best way to repair this? Can we just replace this one section of sheetrock, or will we need to tear out the entire ceiling? Thanks.

Is this ceiling wiring completely disconnected from any power source?
If it is, you should be able to screw the sagging sheetrock back up to the ceiling joists.
Since you have two layers, make sure to get long enough drywall screws (at least half or more in the wood).
