I am an amateur;using a borrowed AEG jigsaw, and trying to cut luan for a indoor window valance. Can you tell me which blade I should be using to cut this very thin wood. It is splintering everywhere/

The finest blade with the most teeth.

You'll have better luck with birch plywood - much less splintering.
